Meet Kelly Bean

Hi, I’m Kelly Bean of GoGoSporty, an arm of Cloud 9 Sports. A Pacific Northwest native, now situated on the central coast of California, I’m your representative for anything that you and/or your organization might need to equip you for success. Starting my 7th year in aiding businesses, schools, event organizers, sports teams ranging from youth to high school to college all the way into professional sports organizations, my goal is to help you realize the vision by way of swag, equipment, apparel, and everything in between!
Born in Seattle into a very sports oriented family in Seattle, I competed in every sport I could (soccer, softball, basketball, cross country, track and field) growing up alongside a standout softball player in my sister and an excellent golfer in my brother. Finding my passions on the hardwood and on cross country courses/track ovals at Tualatin High School in Oregon, I was a 3 sport girl where I was fortunate to have a lot of individual and team success as a prep athlete. Following my time as a high schooler, I went on to run at Arizona State University for one of the best distance coaches in America, Walt Drenth. Under his guidance, my teammates and I propelled the program to new heights where I was honored to be a 5 time All-American and 3 time Pac 10 Champion.
Having always had a passion for art, I received my art education degree from ASU. However, I wasn’t sure I wanted to leave the sports arena quite yet. Fortunately, I was able to sign on with Asics to pursue my post-collegiate running career. At the same time, an opportunity came along to coach at my father’s alma mater, the University of Washington. Combining my desire to compete as a runner and now help build something similar to what I experienced at ASU was intriguing. As a recruiter and coach I found that my experiences helped aid young women in their journey. At Washington, we rose to become one of the best programs in the country for women’s distance running, culminating in a 2008 National Cross-Country Championship.
From there I took a new opportunity to work with Mark Conover at Cal Poly to help build another successful program. In short order over a number of years, we attracted and trained some of the best individuals and teams in the west coast, winning consecutive Big West championships that defined unprecedented success in the 21st century of the historic program. While my experiences at Cal Poly were exciting and fulfilling, I was looking for something else that would challenge me but also allow me to do two things I’ve done all my life: be involved in sports/team setting and help build a winner!
Now as a consultant/representative for you, my goal is to help outfit your team with anything ranging from business wear to sports equipment to uniforms to spirit wear; supporting your winning efforts!
When I’m not working to outfit folks for Cloud 9 Sports, I find my joy in pouring my time into my family (making fun meals, rooting on our young athletes in their sports, and in general sharing the journey of life with them). Having moved back to the central coast with my husband Jimmy Bean and our beloved bulldog Schwarbo, I enjoy running, wine tasting, and finding new adventures in California and throughout the rest of this great world.
